Did you know that Harry Potter's godfather Sirius and most of his family tree are named from the stars in the constellations Orieon? Orion is also one of the easiest to find in the winter sky. Come join us at Center 2000 and find out why constellations have these crazy names and shapes; maybe you could do better. There will be about a half an hour to forty-five minute presenation about astromony led by part-time naturalist Amber Hoffman, which will help prepare you to join her and the ACCB staff outside to find those crazy named wonders in the sky. Clear skies mean cold nights, more so in the winter. So please dress warmly. Hot refreshments provided. This program may be postponed or cancelled due to cloudy conditions. Please call the ACCB office for updates or listen to KCOG/KMGO radio. |
