| On Thursday, February 4th, come out to Center 2000 at Sharon Bluffs State Park from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. to participate in a program about owls. Participants will learn about the life of an owl, the calls they make and their special characteristics as birds of prey. One of ACCB's resident education birds, the Great Horned Owl, will be inside with us so you can see what an owl looks like up close. Afterwards, we will go on a night hike to call for owls in the woods and try to hear them answering our calls - and if we are lucky, see one flying or sitting in a tree. Please dress for the weather! If you have questions, call Laura DeCook, ACCB Naturalist, at (641)895-1775. |
